A Short History of LUKA The League of United Kingdoms of Afrika

A Short History of LUKA The League of United Kingdoms of Afrika

The League of United Kingdoms of Afrika (LUKA) is a non-profit organization with a bold and inspiring vision to unite Africans and the African diaspora under shared goals of cultural revival, development, and unity.

Origins and Founding Partners

LUKA began as an umbrella organization for three key African institutions:

Union of Bajhoba (Kimwe Kye Bajhoba – ASBL: NPO)

Yao Development Foundation (YDF–Trustee)

Akida Wabu Development Foundation (Trustee)

These organizations, registered in Malawi 🇲🇼, Tanzania 🇹🇿, and the Democratic Republic of Congo 🇨🇩, share the same mission: to preserve heritage, foster unity, and develop African communities across borders.

The Yao Development Foundation

The YDF represents the United Wayao Chiefdoms of Mozambique, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe working together to reestablish the historical Yao Kingdom.
It is closely partnered with the Akida Wabu Development Foundation, a Wayao-registered body based in Ruvuma, Tanzania, dedicated to developing Wayao chiefdoms in all five countries.

The Union of Bajhoba

The Union of Bajhoba unites many kingdoms surrounding Lake Tanganyika across Burundi, DRC, Tanzania, and Zambia, including:

Bavila Kingdom

Bagoma Kingdom

Bamasanzi Kingdom

Babwali Kingdom

Batabwa Kingdom

Baholoholo Kingdom

Babuyu Kingdom

Bafipa Kingdom

Babemba Kingdom
…and more.

Each of these kingdoms has its own registered organizations, working together under the Union of Bajhoba for cultural preservation and economic growth.

Leadership and Expansion

The vision for unity was championed by:

HRH Prince Alfonso II Warally Ngengethe Musabwa  Chairperson, LUKA
HRM King John Twaib Mndala Chimbalanga II Chairperson, YDF
HE Rashidi Mussaba Ozo
President, Union of Bajhoba
HRH Paramount Chief Akida Wabu Mitondo II  Chairman, Akida Wabu Development Foundation

King John Twaib Mndala Chimbalanga II and Prince Alfonso II worked tirelessly both online and on the ground forming groups, organizing cultural festivals, and hosting conferences that strengthened the bonds among the Wayao people across Southern and Eastern Africa.

Their collaboration eventually united the Bajhoba and Yao Kingdoms, giving birth to LUKA. Since then, many other African kingdoms and chiefdoms have joined the league, making it a growing network for African unity.

A Continental Movement

Today, LUKA partners with numerous organizations and uses multiple platforms social media groups, channels, blogs, and websites to connect communities, share knowledge, and work toward a united Africa.

THE REPORT OF THE REGIONAL CONFERENCE OF WAYAO CHIEFS

At the regional conference of Wayao chiefs from three Countries "Mozambique, Tanzania and Malawi."
Three Chief councils were well represented.
More than a hundred Chiefs were able to present their requests to the Yao development foundation executive directors in the conference which was to be assisted in the coronation ceremony of their King and the rebuilding  of the royal house that belonged to the late King Mndala Chimbalanga Ndindi Lupeta at Mantimba ( Current Salima)..
There was also an appointed committee of nine chiefs who will be responsible for the Coronation preparation and other matters.
That was the final joint meeting regarding the Coronation of the Yao King.
No Chief has the authority to call a meeting and discuss the Coronation of the Wayao King other than the nine Chiefs who were appointed on February 27/ 2025.
(Three Chiefs of Mozambique,
Three Chiefs of Tanzania,
And Three  Chiefs of Malawi.)
The Executive directors of the Yao Development Foundation were not given the authority to listen to the complaints of the Chiefs who were invited to the regional meeting, ignored it and did not show up on that day.

The Executive directors of the Yao Development Foundation were allowed to seek funds from various organizations to fulfill the requests of the Yao  chiefs  of Mozambique, Tanzania and Malawi.

The Executive of directors of the Yao Development Foundation were given the authority by all the chiefs to forward their requests  and represent them to the Malawian government.

THE WRONG ACCUSATION OF CHIEF AIUBU KALIGAMBE

There are always rewards
For bad or good actions
 on earth.
Just do good and go...
And God will pay
you around the long way.

As AIUBU MUSSA watched an interview of the Yao Crowned Prince and the Bavila prince  on YouTube " @ Africa Up Media 24. "
The Yao Crowned Prince spoke more about the development of Wayao.
AIUBU  was so excited and wished to come in touch with the Yao Crowned Prince to work with him.
Later on, he started to campaign for the Yao crowned prince as his spokes person in Mozambique.
Many Yao Paramount Chiefs and senior Chiefs of Mozambique welcomed the news with two hands.
AIUBU Mussa became so strong to deliver the messages to  the Yao Paramount Chief and some senior Chiefs of Malawi members of Chiwanja Cha Ayao who were not happy of the development of Wayao for many years. CHIEF  KALIGAMBE @ LEFT & CHIFTAIN MKATA @ RIGHT took pictures after the Regional conference of the Yao Chiefs.

It seemed as some Yao top politicians afread to lose influence in  Mangochi district  which is their headquarters due to being populated by yaos whom they used to vote for them and they could not develop this Disctict.
AIUBU Mussa was told  by those corrupt Yao senior chiefs  to meet some politicians and he escaped their corrupt traps many times.
Some senior Chiefs were baught cars and houses by some top politicians to block the projects of the Yao Crowned Prince for their selfish interests.
Some years past, the Yao Crowned Prince was appointed King by some African traditional Leaders in South Africa as the King throne of his late great great grandfather king Mndala Chimbalanga Ndindi Lupeta was vacant for many years.
The paramount Chiefs of Mozambique and many serior chiefs of Malawi, Tanzania and Mozambique accepted him as their King... Followed the Yao history of Malawi.
Yao Paramount Chief of Malawi and four senior chiefs refused to bow to the current king because of some Yao greedy  politicians who were spoiling them millions of Kwachas to reject that heavy title ...
Instead of supporting the Yao poors who were dying by many disasters in Malawi.
Time came, when Aiubu Mussa was honored the Title of  Chief Kaligambe by the Chiefs of Mozambique due to his hard work.
CHIEF AIUBU KALIGAMBE & MUFTI DR ISHAKA LIFA took pictures after the Regional  conference of the Yao Chiefs.

On February 26th and 27th, 2025, There was a regional conference of the Yao Chiefs at Mangochi/ Malawi,
Chief Kaligambe was among the delegates from Malawi, Tanzania and Mozambique who came together to discuss about the Coronation of the appointed king and the rebuilding of the historic Yao Royal house at Mantimba.

On March 8 / 2025,  some jealous  Yao senior Chiefs of Malawi who hate the development of Wayao sent  the letter to some  Mozambican police officers, accusing chief Kaligambe of bringing troubles among the Yao chiefs in Malawi.
The question to ask ourselves can be who organized the Regional conference of Yao Chiefs at Mangochi / Malawi?
Didn't the organizers inform  the Malawi government officially about the event?
Didn't Yao paramount Chief and other Yao  Chiefs of Malawi receive invitation letters to participate to this historic event?

It is a wrong accusation,

Mufti Sosola claimed to deliver invitation letters to many Yao chiefs of Malawi as he was sent by the deputy chairperson of the Registered Trustee of Yao Development Foundation " Mufti Dr Ishaka Lifa."
More than 100 Yao Chiefs participated to this historic event and they shared their thoughts about strengthing the " Union of Wayao of Mozambique, Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe under one Traditional King."

Yes, it is a wrong accusation,

On March 9/ 2025, Chief AIUBU MUSSA KALIGAMBE responded the invitation from  the Mozambican police.
He was asked many questions by some police officers and responded them well.
Then he was told to come back on  Wednesday , Match 12th , 2025.
Accusing Chief Kaligambe to one of  the Mozambican police stations of Mandimba, it is very stupid...
It seems as the  accusers are ignorant of human rights and democracy.
What stopped these coward accusers to come out of the bush and sue the  Registered Trustee of Yao Development foundation to any Malawian police station?
To close, the regional conference of Yao Chiefs at Mangochi costed Yao development foundation millions of Malawi Kwachas to respond the wishes of the majority of Yao Chiefs of five countries.
What about the Coronation of the Yao traditional appointed King and rebuilding of the historic Yao Royal house?
MORE THAN 100 YAO CHIEFS & CHIEFTANS IN THE HALL
